A: Previously, to obtain information about products, dealers, etc.
from a state, a phone call or written request would be required. In
addition, the state could take several days or weeks to produce the desired
data. Kellysolutions.com now provides everyone with the opportunity to
search for this data, free of charge, 24/7/365. Results are found
momentarily, and the user may search as often as desired.
Q: Is this process related to Document Submit or
Erenewals?
A: Yes. Obtaining state data on kellysolutions.com is a
prerequisite for a state to participate in either Document Submit or Erenewals.
Each state has the option of progressing to either of these additional programs,
if desired. However, they are not required.
Q: Where does the data on kellysolutions.com come
from?
A: Each participating state supplies Kelly Registration Systems
with data directly from their own tracking programs on a scheduled basis. KRS takes
this data, combines it with EPA data, and converts it into a different format, which allows for
user-friendly searches on specific categories, including sites, pests,
formulations, and active ingredients.
Q: What information can I obtain from state data
searches?
A: There is a great variety of information available, depending on
the category you wish to search. Categories include, but are not limited to,
pesticides, feeds, seeds, dealers, applicators nursery and timber
processors.
Q: I heard that I can get a copy of a product's MSDS
or label from kellysolutions.com. Is this correct?
A: Yes, a product label or MSDS may be obtained from
kellysolutions.com. KRS provides each product with a link to the stamped
accepted EPA label on file with the EPA. In addition, states and
registrants have the opportunity to provide MSDS's and in-commerce labels, which
further enhance the benefit of the website for all parties involved.
Q: How up to date is the data?
A: Most states send data on a weekly scheduled basis. For all
states, the data is as up
to date as the files provided by the state. In the lower left hand corner
of each search feature the date of the last conversion update will be posted for
your reference, so you may easily see how up to date the data is.
Q: What is the charge to use the state data on
kellysolutions.com?
A: There is no charge whatsoever to registrants or states to use
any search on state data.
Q: How can this service be free? There has to
be a catch.
A: There is no catch. The data is and will be 100% free of
charge.
Password Requirements/Security
Q: Why do some state searches require a password?
A: When a state first participates in providing data to
kellysolutions.com, the state often likes to preview the data, page layouts, etc
before releasing the data to the public. Some states do not require a
lengthy time to allow KRS to remove the password. Others do. Once
the state does provide KRS with permission to remove the password, all users
will then have full access.
Q: Not all states are participating. Why is
that?
A: KRS has extended the offer for participation to all
states. Some states require a more lengthy process to submit data to KRS,
due to legislation or internal reasons.
Q: Can I do anything to
help 'speed up' those states that are not yet participating?
A: You are welcome to call or write to the appropriate state
departments, to express an interest in seeing their data on kellysolutions.com.
